In previous years when there have been no restrictions on meetings etc. we have usually organised a barbecue at our Beachy Head Radio site for any member who wishes to attend.

The Barbecue will usually start in the afternoon whilst the 144 MHz L/P contest is underway. This year the event will mainly be for members operating in the 144/432 MHz Low Power contests and invited guests.  Regular members will be very welcome to attend, subject to bringing some suitable items of food.

It is anticipated to start the BBQ around 1700 (Weather permitting)

SITE ACCESS  FROM ROAD GATE. There will be a key safe positioned on the inside of the right gatepost. This will contain a key to the padlock. The combination will be supplied to any member requesting this on the FORUM LP Contest thread.

Sat 13th Aug 2022 Sun 14th Aug 2022

After a break of two years this excellent show is once again being activated.

There will be displays of Agricultural, Commercial, Vintage and Military Vehicles. Plus all of the usual working  demonstrations and exhibits. Catering, Beer Tent and Entertainments should also be on site.

Some good  news is that SARS members Richard  2E0EOX will be running the entries for the Military Vehicle section. Richard will be exhibiting his own FV432 Tracked Armored Vehicle. We should be positioned on small  hill overlooking the show. We will probably be using the Oak trees for deploying wire aerials!

Sat 27th Aug 2022 Mon 29th Aug 2022

Vintage Steam and commercial Show with trade stands and catering also on site.

Some of the regular members have stepped back from organizing a society display this year. It is hoped that this may prompt others to get involved and do the necessary work to establish a  club  exhibit.

Whilst there will be no official entry from SARS, several  members will almost certainly be exhibiting their vehicles.  This includes Series One Land Rovers from Richard 2E0JXU and Jon M0JAO . Barry G8DXU will enter his Land Rover Defender 110 Tithonus FFR with the usual display of Clansman sets. GB2FT having been reserved by Barry and Andy 2E0GNE who will be operating this call on frequencies 1976 kHz AM/USB, 28.320 MHz USB and 51.70 MHz FM.  Other bands may also be used.

Calls to GB2FT from members and any other stations are most welcome. We normally have a listening watch at 1400 (Local) each show day and will put out calls on the above frequencies.  (It can take us some minutes for us to switch bands)
