We normally have members with entries in the Military vehicle and commercial vehicle sections. This year we plan to combine the SARS special event radio station GB3FOT with the military display..
Our Green Camp will have working radio stations using ex-military Clansman series equipment and probably other vintage sets from WWII and after. Listen out for our special event callsign on HF and VHF.
Members interested in helping with the displays and operating our special event station are invited to contact G8DXU or any other committee member.
Our regular visit to the charming and Historic Village of West Dean.
SARS members and others put on a display of vintage radio equipment, with an emphasis on the Canadian occupation of the village during WWII.
We have the special event callsign GB2WD, look out for us on 40m or perhaps 3.615MHz AM on the WS19 MKIII.
All members are welcome to help with setting up and operating the station. Alternatively just give WD a visit and join one of the tours of this historic site. There will be some good on site catering plus stalls selling local arts and crafts. Harvey's Brewery are usually in attendance with quantities of their various products.
Use the Forum or contact G8DXU for further information.

HF Field Day
Many of the team will be at West Dean and unable to participate in the 144MHz or HF Field Day events. Any members interested in organising participation in these activities are asked to contact the committee.
Our annual vintage radio display at this very popular event.
We will be operating special callsign GB2WD from West Dean during the weekend.
There are other English Heritage sites, such as the Stone Cross Windmill where SARS members will be operating special stations during the Weekend. It is hoped that GB2WD will establish communications with some of these stations.
