AFS Phone contest on 40 & 80 metres. This event normally has excellent UK activity and contributes to the societies place in the Super league table.
We will make an entry from BHRS to which all interested members are invited to participate.
Members wishing to operate their own or alternative stations on behalf the society are reminded that logs need to be kept and submitted to the RSGB in Cabrillo format within 24 hours. The logging program from N1MM is entirely suitable and is free to download.
Affiliated Societies event contributing to overall scores in the Super-League series.
Starting 0900 until 1300
There will probably be an entry by G1KAR/P from the societies Beachy Head site. Members interested in participating, operating or logging are asked to contact G8DXU.
It is intended to open BHRS for members to take part in this event. There are a couple of regular members who have volunteered to operate and log during this event. Please see the Forum thread.
This series of contests contributes to the societies position in the Super-League. We will probably be using the old but reliable FT-736R and the Tonna 19 element beam. Under reasonable flat conditions we can usually achieve a range in excess of 500km from our well located site at Beachy Head.
This makes things interesting for both operators and listeners. New members are especially welcome to attend BHRS and see what goes on during contest operations...you may even get the contest bug!
