432MHz AFS Contest (Beachy Head event),432MHz AFS Contest (Beachy Head event), N/A 432MHz Affiliated Societies Contest 0900-1300 UTC It is intended to open BHRS for members to take part in this event. There are a couple of regular members who have volunteered to operate and log during this event. Please see the Forum thread. This series of contests contributes to the societies position in the Super-League. We will probably be using the old but reliable FT-736R and the Tonna 19 element beam. Under reasonable flat conditions we can usually achieve a range in excess of 500km from our well located site at Beachy Head. This makes things interesting for both operators and listeners. New members are especially welcome to attend BHRS and see what goes on during contest operations...you may even get the contest bug!
