Sat 4th Aug 2018(2 events) BBQ, N/A Our small BBQ at BHRS is now just for members fielding the 2m Low Power contest and will proceed as planned today from around 2000 UTC. Please see the members Forum for further information. (Contest operators must be RSGB Members) VHF 144MHz Low Power Contest, – 144MHz Low Power contest (Max 25W) Usually an interesting and busy event. 432MHz event follows Sunday 0800-1200 UTC. There will be an evening BBQ from about 2000 for members and invited guests involved with the contest. Some members will be camping at BHRS on Saturday evening in readiness for the 70cm contest on Sunday. |

Sat 11th Aug 2018(2 events) Rural Past Times (Pestalozzi), N/A SARS members Richard 2E0EOX Andy M6GND and Barry G8DXU will be attending this show. Richard will be exhibiting his FV432 Armoured Vehicle fitted with working Clansman radio equipment. Barry and Andy will have their usual display of Clansman equipment and Land Rover 110 FFR vehicle complete with RT322 High Power HF station. We will be operating on VHF and HF bands. Look out for us on the VMARS 80m AM 3.615MHz net Saturday morning from 0830 local time. Members are very welcome to contact us on air or visit the show and perhaps share an Army ration pack and cup of refreshment!
Beachy Head Meeting, – Hopefully some members may be available to attend BHRS and perhaps communicate with the members at Pestalozzi. Keys are available from the usual committee members. |

The society will probably have special event callsign GB3FOT which will be operated by members from the dedicated club station. G8DXU, M6GND, M6EYO Will have their usual display of military Land Rovers and Clansman Radio equipment. Listen out for us working on 51.60MHz or 51.70MHz FM and 28.308 (28.310 MHz Clansman) USB. We also hope to active on 3.615MHz AM. We have Special Event Call GB2FOT for use from the military radio station display. Calls from members and other amateur stations will be much appreciated, alternatively visit the show and see our display..
Beachy Head Meeting?, – This meeting depends upon availability of members not involved with the FOT event. It would be great if one or two members could call our station at the FOT site from BHRS or their preferred location. |
