Beachy Head Meeting,Beachy Head Meeting, – Due to a change of plans G8DXU will be opening BHRS today. The site will be open from 1200 until around 1700 local time. It is intended to make some a 400W 6m linear amp available plus IC-7300 for operations on the 50MHz band. Members are invited to attend and try operation on 6m SSB if they so desire, this band can offer some exciting DX under favourable conditions. Alternatively just come along for free refreshments and a social occasion. As the weather is good I will be firing up the BBQ around 1300, there will be some free 95% Pork sausages for the first members visiting. If you wish to join the BBQ contributions of food of your own choice would be very welcome. Barry G8DXU

We could just make an entry in the 432MHz section on Saturday at Beachy Head for a few hours. Are any members interested? Please contact G8DXU. BHRS will be open Saturday from 1300 local time in preparation for an entry in the 70cm section of the above contest. Members are cordially welcomed to attend. Will probably just operate for a couple of hours depending upon activity and interest from members.. |
