2m SSB Net & probably 28.320MHz / 1976kHz

January 9, 2021 N/A

Proposed date for our fourth Two Metre SSB Net from 1400 on 144.325MHz from 1400.

Afterwards 28.320MHz USB and perhaps 1976kHz (USB) subject to sufficient interest.

The previous three nets have proved very popular with members and other local amateurs. Perhaps we can make this one the first of many in the New Year.

SARS Online Talk: Amateur Radio & 3D Printing by Dr Jonathan Hare G1EXG

January 25, 2021 20:00

After many members indicated an interest in online talks, we're happy to announce that a talk on Amateur Radio & 3D Printing by Dr Jonathan Hare will be held via Zoom on Monday 25th Jan 2021 at 8pm:

Jonathan Hare (G1EXG) has found 3D printing to be a fantastic prototyping tool for the Radio Amateur. This talk is a beginners guide to 3D printing: what it is, how it works and what you might do with a 3D printer. Jonathan has been having a lot of fun experimenting with 3D printing since 2014 and has written 3 articles about the subject in RadCom. He also has an article in the current RadCom Plus on-line magazine. Please see his web site for free downloads of the articles and more info: http://www.creative-science.org.uk/3D.html

All members are very welcome to join - Zoom meeting info has been emailed to the membership.
